MSNBC’s Kelly O’Donnell made the point that Obama was speaking to two audiences tonight: the American people and Congress. But what if one of those groups doesn’t have the attention span to follow a press conference about health care. Jon Stewart even fell asleep at his desk last night while discussing the topic. So should it be any surprise that CNN has chosen to make Obama’s response to the only non-health care related question its headline? What happened to Professor Gates is important and relevant but I just hate seeing crucial issues buried because they are too boring to cover.
First a jogger hits a tree while tweeting, now a girl falls into an open manhole while texting. Dare we speculate what mild tragedy will be caused by mobile device usage next?
Wait, did I read that correctly? Aaron Sorkin wrote a script about the creation of Facebook? Go on…
Before taking a formal architecture class and absolutely hating it, articles like this piece on the deteriorating Nakagin Capsule Tower would spark my imagination. Who knew that Japanese Metabolism could make me forget those architecture books and their lack of resale value?

Needless to say, it’s been too long since my last post. So let’s play catch up. The new MSNBC graphics make me claustrophobic, the BET awards demonstrated how not to honor a legend, and I accidently watched more than five minutes of “America’s Got Talent.” It’s been a rough week.
This photo has caused a lot of buzz and speculation today. Is the Iranian government using Photoshop to make a pro-Ahmedinejad rally look more impressive? Apparently it was on the front page of a government controlled newspaper.
The coverage of the Iranian presidential election has really grabbed my attention in the last few days. We are actually seeing the people of Iran instead of just Ahmadinejad saying ludicrous things. It may sound trivial but I think it is important that Americans see the faces of Iranians fighting to change their government. It is just too easy to vilify an entire country because of a tyrannical president and extremist groups.
I’m sure you’ve already heard of this, but it is new to me. It is called EPIX and will offer the HD movie content of Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate. In addition to being a hulu-like player it will also be a free channel included in your cable or satellite package.
