The PBS series Art in the Twenty-First Century has been produced by Art21 for over a decade and has so far documented the creative processes of 100 leading contemporary artists. As part of the production team, I arrange shoots internationally at artists’ studios and homes, museums, galleries, government buildings, and public spaces. The majority of the work entails being in contact with the locations and hiring film crews. I’m also heavily involved in the post-production process. The next season of the series is set to premiere on PBS in April of 2012 — below is the trailer. All past episodes can be viewed on Netflix, Hulu, and PBS Video.
Below is the trailer for William Kentridge: Anything Is Possible, winner of a George Foster Peabody Award. As my first assignment for Art21, it was a thrill to help organize and attend shoots at MoMA, the Metropolitan Opera, and Performa. The film first premiered nationally on PBS in the fall of 2010 and can now be seen on PBS Video.
